Workshop

Workshop

The business workshop for this program introduces the participant to the integrated petroleum industry from exploration to refining and transportation; from investment analysis and financing to income statements, balance sheets and cash flow; and from strategic planning and leadership to environmental analysis and continuous learning. The setting for the workshop is the Republic of Sandland, a fictitious country on the West Coast of Africa. The business game occurs during the first two weeks of the program, but additional workshop sessions continue over the final two weeks. For this reason, participants are encouraged to enroll for the full program. This workshop always stimulates and challenges the participants, because it is designed around the highest form of learning: that which occurs when practical, realistic problems are solved through team discussion and shared insight.
