Program Objectives
This program is designed for specialists and managers in the worldwide energy
industry, who wish to broaden and integrate their knowledge of the rapidly
changing international gas business. Through a careful balance of formal
lectures by leading experts and unique workshop sessions, this two-week
program provides participants with a comprehensive exposure to the technology,
economics, finance and markets that shape and affect the industry. It also
teaches the management skills needed to increase performance within an integrated
gas business environment.
Who Should Attend
This program is intended for specialists in one or more functional areas
of the international energy industry, such as exploration, production,
processing, storage, transportation, distribution, power generation, petrochemicals,
finance and marketing, who wish to broaden their practical knowledge of
the business environment and to learn the current "best practices" of
the integrated gas industry.
Instructional Format
The instructional format consists of formal lectures by leading experts,
site visits, and team participation in a specially developed workshop/
business simulator. The lecturers have been carefully selected for their
extensive practical experience, knowledge of the industry and strong communication
skills. The workshop covers the development of an integrated gas company
in the Republic of Singnam, a fictitious developing country in Southeast
Asia. This combination of formal lectures and intensive workshop sessions
has proven to be an ideal way to teach the practical needs required by
today’s international energy manager.
Awarding of Certificate
A Certificate in Gas Business Management is issued to individuals who
successfully complete both units of this program.
Location and Accomodations
The program will be held at the John Hancock Conference Center
in the attractive Back Bay section of Boston. Known as America’s Walking
