Optimizing Integrated Gas Processing, Refining, and Petrochemical Facilities
This five-day workshop provides a comprehensive overview of today’s international refining, gas processing, and petrochemicals business and how they can be integrated in response to commercial and market changes to maximize overall performance. The program consists of a careful balance of lectures by a recognized industry specialist and team participation in a challenging “business game” mentored by a workshop facilitator. This program is ideal for those individuals who seek an integrated understanding of the international refining-gas processing-petrochemical business. This could include managers, planners, government personnel, technologists, contractors, support staff and other specialists in the industry, those who interface with the industry, and those who work in other areas of the oil and gas industry who wish to learn about this important segment of the value chain.
The workshop is set in the "Republic of Bilitan", a country in the Asia Pacific region off the coast of Indonesia. As a result of a major oil field discovery, your company, in a joint venture with the Bilitan National Oil Company, is designing a new refinery. Your team has been asked to evaluate the possibility of adding a petrochemicals complex to take advantage of the rapid growth in petrochemicals markets in the region. Participants, divided into teams, compete as they build a high-performance petrochemical complex that optimizes the product slate and feedstock selection from the refinery and gas processing plant.
